Despite a winter of lockdown we have been observing some fantastic wildlife on our local walks.  The wild bird seed placed around our walk was very popular with a finch flock with a great selection of species seen including Brambling, Linnet, Yellowhammer & Chaffinch.

A flock of 500+ Golden Plover were a regular sighting which always look spectacular when in flight.  Fieldfares & Redwings were plentiful and often giving super viewing opportunities when feeding on berries. A small coppice on our walk has had Woodcock all winter.

An additional treat was a flock of 23 Russian White-fronted Geese which have hung around all winter.
