Testimonials

I feel like a proper Bird watcher now – thank you !

I’ve always wanted to spend more time birdwatching but I really didn’t know where to progress to from my garden. The morning beginners course has given me the confidence to branch out and visit more places. Neil was very generous with his knowledge and the skills I’ve learnt with help me with my own identification when I visit my own local nature reserve. The advice regarding optics led to a new purchase from the Birders Store and I’m now much happier when I’m out bird watching.

Fabulous morning of guiding in Warwickshire

I made contact after reading the nature blog and he kindly offered to show me around and it turned out to be a memorable September morning.  Neil was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the area’s habitats and bird life.  I’ve been interested in nature for years, birds in particular, but Neil was able to pick out species and bird song that I would have struggled to identify.  The highlights were a Stonechat, Pintail, Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Water Rail, Lesser Whitethroats, and huge numbers of Hirundines.  We spent three hours but they went by in a flash. I’d like to do it again in different seasons and learn more from Neil.  I would also recommend the experience to lift a person’s mood by the close contact with nature.  I felt refreshed after my visit and Neil was the ideal guide for the walk in his knowledge of and enthusiasm for the natural world around us.

Fabulous morning in the Wyre Forest

As a family, we had never done anything like this before but we wanted our children to be more aware of the environment around them. The organisation and communication was perfect after making an enquiry on the website. The walk twisted through the forest and we stopped at number of great spots. The bird song was amazing, we commented to each other that the children had never heard such noises before. We saw a fantastic range of species including Redstart, Wood Warbler & some beautiful butterflies. We are looking forward to doing it all again when visiting the midlands.
